Kentucky Commission on the Deaf or Hard of Hearing

The Kentucky Commission on the Deaf or Hard of Hearing (KCDHH) acts as an advocate for the deaf and hard of hearing on legislative issue.  KCDHH also acts as a consultant to the Governor, General Assembly, and other state and local agencies concerning policies and programs relating to 23 the deaf and hard of hearing. 

KCDHH provides individuals with information, referral services, advocacy and an interpreter referral service.  This organization provides several brochures and books on issues related to the hearing impaired, as well as maintaining a library of resources and references.  A telecommunications access program is also available for eligible individuals to obtain devices such as TDDs, amplified phones and CapTel.
